Corporate cards laid on a dark surface

Cross-border business accounts and corporate card programmes for UAE companies that do not need AED settlement, or that need it alongside a UAE bank account. The service is delivered by a licensed international banking provider that onboards and contracts with you directly; we assess the fit, prepare the file and coordinate. Onboarding, approval and the account's terms remain with the provider.

Scope

What you get, and what we never do

What is included

  • An assessment of which provider's appetite matches your profile, activity and flows.
  • The onboarding file: ownership chain, activity description, expected flows and source of funds, prepared once and reused.
  • A written explanation of how the international account and any UAE account divide the business's flows.
  • Introduction to the provider and coordination of its questions through review.
  • Set-up of the corporate card programme once the account is open, with the provider.
  • A gap review if the provider declines, and a view on what to change before any second attempt.

What is not

  • Opening the account or issuing the cards โ€” only the provider can, on its own terms.
  • Any promise of approval, of a particular provider, or of a timeline.
  • A description of the provider's charges, limits or features before it has reviewed you.
  • Advice on structuring flows to avoid a bank's scrutiny โ€” we do not, and providers spot it.

What it costs

The provider's schedule, and our work in the letter.

We publish none of the provider's charges; it contracts with you and states them itself.

The provider's charges

Account, card and foreign-exchange fees are the provider's, in its own schedule, agreed when it contracts with you.

The VelaroZone service fee

The fit assessment, the file and the coordination through onboarding, itemised in your engagement letter.

Alongside a UAE account

Where both are needed, the two files are prepared together so the business explains itself once.

No fee of ours is a percentage of what moves through the account.

Compared

An international account beside a UAE one, against the alternatives.

Most businesses end up with two accounts; the question is which does what.

How the three answer the same five questions.

  • Dirham settlement

    International provider, arranged through Velarozone
    Through the UAE account

    The parent's bank abroad
    No

    International provider, arranged through Velarozone
    Through the international account

Yes, but not in the UAE entity's name
  • Corporate cards

    International provider, arranged through Velarozone
The provider's programme, stablecoin-funded where supported

  • Onboarding

    International provider, arranged through Velarozone
The provider contracts with the UAE entity directly
    A UAE bank only
    The bank's review
    The parent's bank abroad
Often refused for a UAE subsidiary
  • Fits best

    International provider, arranged through Velarozone
    Cross-border flows with UAE operations
    A UAE bank only
A local business paid in dirhams
    The parent's bank abroad
A pure holding with no UAE activity

Process

How the work is sequenced

Each stage has its own dependencies and we report progress against them, not against one overall date.

  1. 01

    Fit

We map your profile, activity, currencies and counterparties against the providers we know, and tell you whether a UAE account, an international one or both is the right shape.

  2. 02

    File

The onboarding file is assembled and the business explained in the provider's language, once, so it does not have to be rebuilt for a second provider.

  3. 03

    Provider review

Introduction made, questions answered as they arrive, and the decision reported to you as the provider makes it.

  4. 04

    Cards and operation

Card programme configured with the provider and the split between accounts written down so the business runs it consistently.

How it works

The account and the cards are provided by a licensed international banking provider. It carries out its own customer due diligence, decides whether to onboard you, contracts with you directly under its own terms and bills you directly for its services. Velarozone does not hold, move or have signatory control over any client money.

We assess the fit, prepare the file, introduce you and coordinate the application through to a decision. That work is billed as the VelaroZone service fee, separately from anything the provider charges, and it is itemised in your engagement letter before it starts.

Short answers

The question an international provider asks first

A provider abroad runs the same due diligence a UAE bank does, and the same line decides it.

Common questions

Straight answers

Is an international account a replacement for a UAE bank account?
Usually not. A business with UAE staff, rent and authority fees needs dirham settlement, which a UAE bank provides. The international account carries the cross-border side. Most clients on this page end up with both, and we say which you need before either application starts.
A UAE bank declined us โ€” will an international provider accept us?
That depends on why the bank declined. A provider onboards on its own criteria and can decline too. We review the declined file first, because the reason often points to what has to change for any application, UAE or international.
Who opens the account and who do I contract with?
The provider. It carries out its own due diligence, opens the account in your company's name and contracts with you directly. We prepare and coordinate; we are not a party to the account.
Can corporate cards be funded from a stablecoin balance?
Some providers support card programmes funded from a stablecoin balance rather than a bank balance. Whether that is available to you depends on the provider's review of your business and the assets involved.
What will the provider ask for?
Broadly what a bank asks for: constitutional documents, the ownership chain down to beneficial owners, identity documents, a description of the business and its counterparties, expected volumes and currencies, and source of funds. We assemble that once so it can serve more than one application.
Can you tell me the account's limits, features or charges?
Not before the provider has reviewed you. Those are set by the provider in its own terms and vary by profile. We tell you what to expect in general and the provider states the specifics when it offers you an account.

Ask whether an international account fits your business

Tell us where your customers, suppliers and shareholders are, which currencies you move and whether a UAE bank has already reviewed you. We reply with the account shape we would recommend and the file it needs.

Free assessment โ€” current figures are confirmed within your adviser-reviewed route comparison. Your details are not shared with third parties.

Know your route before you file.

Tell us how you intend to operate and we will identify the questions, structure paths and preparation steps an adviser should assess. It is a planning tool, not legal, tax, immigration or banking advice.
