Residence visas for you, your staff and your family, and the PRO work after them.
- The right category for each person, checked against eligibility before anything is filed
- Renewals, amendments and Emirates ID held on one calendar with the licence
- Eligibility and approval stay with the authority; we say so before you commit

Who this is for
Four people, four categories.
Staff are sponsored by the company and family by you. Green and Golden holders need no sponsor.
PRO work is the recurring government paperwork of a UAE company: the establishment card, labour files with the Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation (MOHRE), residence visas, medicals and Emirates ID, then amendments and renewals. A sponsored residence visa lasts 1, 2 or 3 years, so every hire brings a renewal date. We prepare and coordinate the filings; the authority decides eligibility and approval.
Situation
Who needs residency, and on what.
The category follows the person and the licence. Four starting points come up first.
Your own residency as the owner
A sponsored visa lasts 1, 2 or 3 years. Green investor residence lasts five years, needs no sponsor and asks for proof of investment and licences.
โYour first employees
A MOHRE labour contract and labour card, an entry permit, a medical test and an Emirates ID application for each hire.
โYour family
A certified lease or proof of ownership and your job contract go into each dependant's file, and their visa cannot outlast yours.
โLong-term residency
Golden runs five or ten years by category, with a minimum capital for investors that depends on the category. Green runs five years for skilled workers, freelancers and investors.

Scope
What you get, and what we never do
What is included
- Establishment card and labour-file setup.
- Entry permit, medical, Emirates ID, and stamping coordination.
- Dependant visa application preparation.
- Document attestation and translation coordination.
- Amendments, cancellations, and status changes.
- A renewal calendar covering the licence, each visa and each Emirates ID, which expires with its visa.
What is not
- Any guarantee of visa approval or processing time.
- Immigration advice beyond the scope of the applications prepared.
- Medical outcomes or fitness determinations.
- Employment-law advice, which stays with your legal adviser.
What it costs
Government fees at cost, our work in the letter.
Every authority charge is itemised as what it is; nothing of ours is hidden inside it.
Government fees
Immigration, medical, Emirates ID and labour charges are the authorities' and are passed through at cost, itemised on the invoice.
The Velarozone service fee
Preparing the file, lodging and following the application and the PRO liaison are itemised in your engagement letter.
What decides the total
The category, the number of people and whether the licence's visa allocation already covers them.
Eligibility and approval are the authority's; a fee is charged for the work, never for the outcome.

Three ways to handle a visa file.

Process
How the work is sequenced
Each stage has its own dependencies and we report progress against them, not against one overall date.
- 01
Eligibility review
Category, sponsor, and evidence requirements confirmed.
- 02
Document preparation
Attestations, translations, and forms assembled.
- 03
Entry permit
Application filed with the immigration authority.
- 04
Status and medical
Status change, medical test for applicants aged 18 and above, security check and biometrics.
How it works
Visa and PRO work runs with your adviser: the category chosen with you, the file prepared, the applications lodged and followed, and the renewals and amendments that come after held on the same calendar as the licence.
Eligibility criteria are set by the immigration authority and the decision is always its own. We prepare and coordinate; we never promise an outcome or a processing time.

Questions people ask before handing this over
Four questions that decide whether you need someone doing this for you at all.
Do I need an office to get a visa?
How workspace and visa allocation are actually connected.
What is the difference between an entry permit and a residence visa?
The two stages a residence application runs through.
Can I apply for a golden visa myself, or do I have to be nominated?
Which categories are applied for and which are nominated.
What happens if my UAE residence visa expires?
The AED 50 a day fine, and why the Emirates ID lapses with the visa.
Common questions
Straight answers
- How long does a UAE residency visa take?
- Timing depends on the category, the authority and whether medical and biometric appointments are available. The steps run in order: entry permit, status change, medical test, Emirates ID application and stamping. We report progress by stage rather than promising a date.
- Can I sponsor my family?
- Often yes, once your own residence is in place. The authority asks for a certified housing lease or proof of ownership, your passport with a valid residence permit, your job contract and medical insurance for the dependant. A dependant's visa cannot run past yours.
- What is Green Residency?
- Green Residence is a renewable five-year residence with no sponsor, set out by the ICP. Skilled workers need an employment contract, MOHRE skill level 1 to 3, a bachelor's degree and AED 15,000 a month. Freelancers need a MOHRE permit, a degree or diploma and AED 360,000 in annual freelance income over the previous two years. Investors need proof of investment and licences. The authority assesses your documents.
- What happens if a visa expires?
- An overstayed residence visa is fined AED 50 a day, and the Emirates ID expires with it. A resident who stays outside the UAE for more than 180 continuous days also loses the visa, with listed exceptions. That is why we run a renewal calendar for every visa.
- Do you handle staff onboarding paperwork?
- We handle the government-side filings: the MOHRE labour contract and labour card, then the visa, medical and Emirates ID. HR policies and employment contracts should be reviewed by your legal adviser.

Legal notes and scope
Velarozone provides setup and operational-readiness coordination. This page is general information, not legal, tax, immigration, or banking advice.
ICP and the emirate's immigration authority decide green residence applications, renewals and cancellations. MOHRE decides freelance and self-employment permits, and the licensing authority decides company licences. We prepare and coordinate the filings; we do not decide them and cannot promise an outcome.
The ICP publishes separate Golden, Blue and Green residence guides, and the u.ae Golden visa page was last updated on 28 Jul 2026. We check the criteria on the day we file, not an older summary.
