Who this is for
Who brings us a large trade, and what each brings.
Each starts with who holds the assets and where the fiat has to land.
Large crypto-to-fiat and fiat-to-crypto trades for companies and private clients are executed by a desk holding a Broker-Dealer Services licence from the Virtual Assets Regulatory Authority (VARA), the regulator for virtual assets across Dubai's free zones and mainland, outside the DIFC. The desk must seek the best result for you under VARA's best execution rule, and it decides your client class, price and settlement under its own terms. Velarozone assesses the fit, prepares the onboarding file and coordinates you to the desk's decision; fiat settles to a bank account in your own name.
Risk warning
Virtual assets are highly volatile and can lose all of their value. They may not be liquid, some transfers cannot be reversed, and holders do not benefit from any form of financial protection. They are not suitable for every investor, and past performance is no guide to future performance.
Execution is on a VARA Broker-Dealer Services licence, under the Virtual Assets Regulatory Authority's oversight, on the desk's own terms and its classification of you as a client. Velarozone does not provide virtual-asset services or investment advice, and nothing on this page is a price or a recommendation to trade.
Situation
Where a licensed desk fits better than an exchange.
A licensed desk fits when the size, the settlement account or the record matters more than the fastest fill. Each case starts with who holds the assets and where the fiat has to land.
A company treasury with virtual assets
A conversion to fiat that lands in a business account, backed by the desk's trade confirmation and settlement record.
โA private client with a large position
A large position executed by a licensed counterparty. A client the desk classes as Qualified or Institutional can ask for a quote at its discretion.
โA transaction with a virtual-asset leg
A sale, an investment or a settlement where one side pays in a virtual asset. The conversion is one leg, and the funds may need to be held until the other leg completes.
โA bank or auditor has asked
The question is where the conversion was executed and under whose licence. A VARA Broker-Dealer Services licence and the desk's trade confirmation answer both.

Scope
What you get, and what we never do
What is included
- A fit assessment: whether the transaction, the entity and the record behind it are ones a licensed desk will take on.
- The onboarding file: entity documents, ownership chain, bank account details and source-of-funds or source-of-assets evidence, prepared for the desk's review.
- Access to a VARA-licensed desk whose service matches the size and shape of the transaction.
- Coordination of the desk's onboarding questions through to a decision.
- Where the conversion is one leg of a wider transaction, coordination with the escrow, legal or corporate work on the other leg.
What is not
- Executing, pricing or settling any trade. That is done on the desk's licence, under its terms.
- Custody of your assets. They move only between wallets you control and those the desk specifies for settlement.
- Investment advice, market views or any recommendation to transact.
- Any promise that the desk will onboard you, classify you in a particular way or deal at a particular size.
What it costs
The desk's terms are the desk's; ours are in the letter.
We never quote a price, a spread or a time, and no fee of ours is a share of the trade.
The desk's terms
Price, spread and settlement are quoted to you by the licensed desk under its own terms at the time of the trade. VARA requires it to disclose its retained fee or commission before execution and in the trade confirmation, unless you are a Qualified or Institutional Investor who asked for a discretionary quote. We never quote them.
The Velarozone service fee
The file and the coordination to settlement, itemised in your engagement letter; not a percentage of the trade, not taken from the funds.
Settlement
Fiat settles to a bank account in your own name under the desk's terms, so the trail a bank or auditor asks for exists from the first trade.
Virtual assets are high-risk and can lose all their value; nothing on this page is a recommendation to trade.
Compared
A licensed desk against the other ways a large trade is executed.
The licence and the settlement trail are what a bank or an auditor asks about afterwards.

Process
How the work is sequenced
Each stage has its own dependencies and we report progress against them, not against one overall date.
- 01
Assess
We confirm the entity, the bank account and the source-of-funds record are in the shape a licensed desk requires, and say what is missing.
- 02
Prepare
The onboarding file is assembled once, with the evidence the desk's due diligence will ask for.
- 03
Onboard
The desk onboards you under VARA's client-classification rules and agrees its terms with you directly.
- 04
Execute and settle
The desk quotes, executes and settles under its terms. We coordinate any corporate, escrow or legal step the wider transaction needs.
How it works
Execution is on a VARA Broker-Dealer Services licence, under the Virtual Assets Regulatory Authority's oversight. The desk onboards you under its own due diligence, classifies you as a retail, qualified or institutional client, quotes each trade to you directly and settles fiat to a bank account in your own name under its own terms. It may deal as principal or route your order elsewhere, but VARA's rules keep the best execution duty with the desk, which cannot delegate it.
Velarozone assesses the fit, prepares the file and coordinates your onboarding to the desk's decision. That work is billed as the Velarozone service fee, itemised in your engagement letter; the desk's own pricing is set out in its terms with you.
Marketing communications for this service are kept on record as the regulator requires.

Licence and approvals
The question the desk and the bank both ask
A licensed desk and a receiving bank each need to understand where the position came from before anything settles.
Common questions
Straight answers
- Under whose licence is the trade executed?
- A VARA Broker-Dealer Services licence. VARA is the sole authority for virtual assets across Dubai's free zones and mainland, except inside the DIFC. Check the desk's name on VARA's Public Register before you onboard. The desk onboards you, quotes and settles under its own terms, with fiat paid to a bank account in your own name.
- Who decides whether I am a retail, qualified or institutional client?
- The broker-dealer, against the criteria in VARA's Market Conduct Rulebook, during onboarding. It matters because only Qualified and Institutional Investors can ask the desk for a quote to execute at its discretion, and then only if the desk does not deal against them as principal. We cannot promise or influence the outcome.
- Can you tell me the price or the spread?
- No. The desk quotes at the time of the trade. VARA requires it to seek the most favourable price for you, after weighing costs, speed, likelihood of execution and settlement, and size. Nothing on this page is a price.
- What does the desk need before it will deal?
- Identity and ownership evidence for the company or individual, a bank account in your own name for the fiat leg, and a source-of-funds or source-of-assets record the desk can rely on. Each desk sets its own list, so we check it before the file is assembled.
- Why use a licensed broker-dealer rather than an exchange or a private counterparty?
- Because a licensed desk works under VARA's best execution rule. It must weigh size, costs, speed and the likelihood of execution and settlement for your order, and it keeps the burden of showing compliance even when it trades off-market with another VASP or a third party. Your bank, auditor and regulator can trace the trade to a licence.
- When does the service open?
- The service is opening in stages. Register interest through the form on this page and we will tell you when yours can start and what to have ready.
